Job Description

LearnWise.ai is a scale-up modernizing educational institutions with virtual assistants, instructor efficiency, and student engagement solutions for higher education institutions. We are looking for an inspired and enthusiastic Engineering intern to join our team for a 6 month internship.

You will have the chance to join a Venture Capital funded company with a track record of exponential growth. You will work closely with our leadership as a member of our LearnWise pack. What you’ll do

Observability & Monitoring

• Design and implement an observability stack that makes it easy to correlate logs, metrics, and system events.
• Set up structured logging in Python and build pipelines to aggregate logs for querying and analysis.
• Work with monitoring tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, Loki, or Elasticsearch, and experiment with Datadog as an alternative.

Dashboards & Business Intelligence

• Extend and improve our business and cost monitoring dashboards beyond Grafana, moving towards a dedicated business intelligence tool (e.g. Metabase, Superset).
• Build BI dashboards that track user behavior, product usage, and infrastructure costs, turning raw data into actionable insights.
• Work with MongoDB and other data sources to expand the scope and quality of data available for decision-making.

Engineering & Development

• Support and improve our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), helping streamline builds, tests, and deployments to AWS and Vercel.
• Make small, targeted interventions in the Python codebase (e.g. adding structured logging, improving monitoring hooks, or integrating new data collection points).
• Collaborate with the team to ensure monitoring and observability are smoothly integrated into our development workflow.
